Top 10 reasons why Miles Austin is MVP

Settle down guys I haven’t even had a chance to explain. I would like for you guys to keep an open mind. If you feel you have a better Wide Receiver candidate for MVP please let me know. If not here you go, these are in no particular order;
  1. Ranked 11th in the NFL with 612 yards, 188 yards less then the leader AndreaJohnson
  2. 27 catches for the 612 yards compared to Andre Johnson’s 54 catches for his 800 yards
  3. He is tied for 1st in touchdowns with 7 (Vernon Davis – TE, Larry Fitzgerald – WR and Vincent Jackson –WR)
  4. In the last 4 weeks he has 531 yards and 6 TDs
      • Andre Johnson 363 yards, 0 TDs
      • Larry Fitzgerald 372 yards, 3 TDs
  5. He’s not the “Number 1” WR on the team
  6. Broke the WR records for most yards in a game with 250 yards.
      • Once held by Hall of Fame WR Bob Hayes
  7. Must share the “rock” or football between Jason Witten, Marion Barber, Roy Williams, and Felix Jones
  8. In the second half of games 11 catches (6 for 20+ yards, 4 for 40+yards) 266 yards, 4 TDs
  9. If the Cowboys were tied in a game or behind he has 445 yards on 16 catches with 5 TDs
  10. In the 4th quarter or overtime 6 catches for 232 yards and 3 TDs
Not a lot of the guys mention that I compared Miles Austin to could also be candidates for MVP, but Miles Austin still surpasses them all. Some will think its Tony Romo that should be thought to be MVP and the reason his having the numbers he is having. I say not, if that were the cause then the Dallas Cowboys real “number 1” Roy Williams should be producing like Miles Austin.

I’m just tired of seeing the same ol candidates in the MVP talk, Payton Manning, Drew Brees, Adrian Peterson and Tom Brady. Think of where the Dallas Cowboys would be without Miles Austin. MVP – Most Valuable Player
