A Real Die Hard Fan...Fantasy/NFL

I’m learning this year more then ever that it’s hard being a Dallas Cowboys fan and play fantasy football. I mean seriously a DIE-HARD-FAN. The type of fan that no matter how bad your team loses you still find something to say, that makes your team better then the team that just beat you. The type of fan that knows what certain players shouldn’t be on the team (Roy Williams) because they don’t have the drive to win, but still will talk up the player to be the best in the league. The type of fan that will draft just about every available Dallas Cowboys player in his/her fantasy football league.  Because of that I have a dilemma…

I am currently in 2 fantasy football leagues. To keep things simple I will break it down to league A and league B. In league A I have Tony Romo, Felix Jones, Roy Williams, Jason Witten, Nick Folk, and the Dallas Defense. In league B I have Tony Romo, Marion Barber, Felix Jones, Jason Witten, Nick Folk, and again the Dallas Defense. Now if you didn’t notice the Dallas Cowboys had a bye week recently. So yes, as you can imagine so did my fantasy team. In both leagues I lost that week’s game, league A I lost 96-37 and in league B I lost 131-79. As you can see being a die hard fan is a tough task when you take it to the extreme.

Maybe I’m thinking that the Dallas Cowboys will go back 2 years when they had the high scoring offense, or maybe I just honestly believe that the Dallas Cowboys house some of the best players in the league and when placed together perform at a high level. Why I continue to pick their defense on both leagues I don’t know.

So guys I ask you what would you do? Are you a true fan of your team, or do you manage to get the best players available in your fantasy football league? Do you even consider yourself a true fan of your own football team, if not are you admitting that other players from other teams are better then the players n your current favorite football team. Thus meaning that your not a true fan of the players that make up the team but more so the team as a brand.
